About Me
Antelmo Merino is a stand out artist at our High School. This student is able to create intricate comic book creatures and characters in precise detail without looking at a reference. He's exceptional at drawing perfectly proportioned hands and faces in all positions. This is very hard to draw for most, but not for Antelmo! He has a gifted talent to flawlessly draw what he sees. He is able to do this without looking at any reference, he draws completely from the top of his head. Antelmo has been featured in our yearbook as the most artistic student 2 years in a row and has been my featured artistmany times. He won the most art contests in my class. His Artwork inspires the rest of the class to do their best. Antelmo is the kind of guy who is willing to take time out of his day to help others with their drawing skills where they can learn from his techniques whether it is using value, crosshatching, position of figure, drawing expressions, or perspective ..etc. Antelmo has grown as an artist by trying other medias, mostly watercolor, to enhance his pen and ink drawings. He plans on taking his talent to the next level in college and beyond. He is the most talented artist I have come across in the 10 years working at Serra High School as an art teacher.
